Club Tan set to make it's mark "expanding nationally"
ASHWAUBENON Expanding a tanning salon business from Arizona to Wisconsin wasnt much of a stretch for Sara Neeley-Buford.
The Ashwaubenon native will open a Club Tan franchise and Urban Angels clothing shop about the end of the year at the corner of Holmgren Way and Cormier Road.
Neeley-Buford and her husband as of today, Damon Buford, are expanding the Club Tan Arizona based Franchise operations that they run along with Nick and Amy Nikias. The Ashwaubenon shops will be run with the help of family members.
We think well do really well, Neeley-Buford said from her present home town of Chandler, Ariz.
Club Tan is a franchise chain started by Nick and Amy Nikias, who began with one salon in Arizona.
They began franchising 18 months ago and recently partnered with the Bufords. Together, theyre running a fast-growing company thats expanding within Arizona, into Texas and now, Wisconsin.
Urban Angels, specializing in trendy clothing for women, was an idea Neeley-Buford said was inspired by her school shopping trips to Chicago and other big cities.
Everyone wants something unique, she said. She has a small boutique in Arizona, and its doing well, she said.
The shops on Holmgren Way are part of a multi-tenant development owned by Joe Gilson of Gilson Real Estate. Hes seeking two to four more compatible storefronts for the building, which sits amid a growing retail area.
Theres a lot of inquiries, he said.
